The decision to write a series of books in Veneto was weighty, so I have taken on a commitment to diligently serve my native idiom, the Vicentino dialect (val di Chiampo) and, drawing on translations into Italian, to make it understandable to anyone who does not come from this place.
Thus, in accordance with the dictates of grammar and syntax of the dialect, I choose vocabulary items while observing all the rules of correct writing and, as necessary, the special morphological elegance of these words. In this way, I hope to be able to properly restore the spoken tradition followed by our ancestors to its linguistic dignity. I would be overjoyed if spoken Veneto were recognized as a language.
And I urge all writers or supporters of their own vernacular to do likewise.
Initially, I would like to create a monastery of writers who, thanks to the study of Italian carried out in the classrooms, would like to transfer their own native idiom to the printed page and future memory.
So, if I am able to get up a group, I would like to appear on the small screen, possibly at the regional level or, my strong aspiration, possibly on the national networks with a short weekly program entitled:

«Let's talk in dialect, each in his or her own, so as not to forget».

I have the idea of contacts, through internet, again aimed at saving what can be saved of traditions, those in danger of disappearing as time marches on. These contacts would be with Italians all over the world, especially emigrants scattered around the globe, so that they might transport my short stories and fantasies into the language of the nation in which they are living and working to bring happiness to little foreigners with the sensitive and gracious folklore of a civilized and gentle people.
I turn especially to young people when I write so I thought it would be a good idea to flank my stories with suitable illustrations and write stories which are pleasing, readable and easy, while imagining the possibility of turning them into small cartoons.
Finally, I propose recording my texts to provide phonetic testimony of this way of speaking for future generations.
In embarking on this fascinating, but very arduous, program, I thought it fitting and proper to explain my aspirations and make them known.
